Writer Christopher Cantwell (Halt and Catch Fire, She Could Fly) and artist Salvador Larroca (Star Wars, Uncanny X-Men) are launching a new Doctor Doom ongoing series for Marvel Comics.
The publisher made the announcement during the Marvel Comics: Retailer Panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego Friday morning.
The new comic sees Doctor Doom, who is a renowned scientist and sorcerer, trying to warn the world against a destructive “artificial” black hole, which is being funded by a trillion-dollar global effort. When he becomes the prime suspect in a terrorist attack that kills thousands, he will receive a new title that he won't be proud to brag about -- "Most Wanted Man."
