BNA Bursaries to attend Open Research Summer School

The British Neuroscience Association (BNA) is delighted to be able to offer our members 'Credibility in Neuroscience' bursaries of up to £500 to attend the Open Research Summer School at Oxford University (16-20th September).
As we embark on our ‘Credibility in Neuroscience’ work, we know how important it is to 
take time to learn and hear more about the practical skills and tools you need to make sure your neuroscience research is open and reproducible. This bursary forms part of our commitment to you, our members, to make sure you can support ‘Credibility’ in your research and practice.
The deadline to register for the summer school is Monday 15th July, and the deadline to apply for the bursary is midnight on Wednesday 31st July. Don’t worry if you’ve already applied for a place to attend the school; you can still be awarded a bursary.

Oxford | Berlin summer school on Open Research 2019
Deadline for applications to attend summer school = midnight on Monday 15th July 2019
Interested in open and reproducible research but not quite sure how to start? Go to the Oxford | Berlin summer school on Open Research, to be held at Green Templeton College Oxford from 16 - 20 September 2019!
There will be a core programme with lectures on preregistration, open data, the publishing system, and so on, as well as a number of workshops that can be tailored to your individual research interests.
The summer school is aimed at PhD students and postdocs who work in in any area of empirical research. It is free to attend but external participants will need to cover the cost of travel and accommodation.
The summer school is organised by the QUEST Center Berlin and Reproducible Research Oxford, in collaboration with the Bodleian Libraries, Freie Universität Berlin and Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and it is supported by the Berlin University Alliance Oxford-Berlin partnership fund.

To be eligible for a BNA bursary you must be a member of BNA at the time of application. Not yet a member? You can apply to join straight away.
Remember, you are still able to apply for a bursary even if you have already registered for a place at the Summer School.

We will inform applicants if they’re successful by Wednesday 14th August 2019.
For the succesful applicants who receive bursaries, we will be asking you to provide a blog post, which we will need back by Friday 18th October 2019.

Please note that BNA bursaries are paid in pound sterling. Any currency conversion costs will be subtracted from the amount awarded.
