A Waynesville man already facing numerous pending criminal charges is back behind bars after an allegedly vicious assault on another man.
Justin Lee Wade, 34, was arrested June 28, five days after the alleged assault. According to court documents, Wade’s assault led to “multiple facial fractures and lacerations causing blood loss requiring hospitalization.”
Following his arrest, Wade was charged with one felony count of assault inflicting serious bodily injury.
Wade has a history of involvement with law enforcement. In the past, he has faced charges that include trespassing, breaking and entering, DWIs, communicating threats and several assaults, including assault on a female, assault by strangulation and assault with a deadly weapon.
In addition, Wade has pending charges from multiple arrests over the last year and a half. Those charges include resisting a public official, assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, fleeing or eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, breaking and entering and larceny of a motor vehicle.
While Wade is scheduled to face his most recent charges in court next week, he is also on the trial docket for Monday, meaning some of his pending charges may be resolved.
Wade is being held on $15,000 bond.
