We’re all thinking the same thing regarding that fake Trump quote from Time magazine journo Ian Bremmer today: If a Republican had done this, what would have happened?
posit the Bremmer lie to yourself: if you had fabricated a quote about Joe Biden saying something heinous – how long would you last on twitter? on tv? all in good fun though!

Well, we actually know what would happen. Remember when James Woods had his account locked out after tweeting this meme in 2018?
Twitter told Woods that the image was “misleading in a way that could impact an election”:
Hey guys, @Twitter has locked @RealJamesWoods’ account.
His statement: “You are a coward, @jack. There is no free speech for Conservatives on @Twitter.”#JamesWoods pic.twitter.com/zGVOnxP0D6

Bremmer even used similar wording in his hoax, calling it “plausible” before admitting it was a fake:
Maybe I’m slow, but what’s the point? I don’t get it. pic.twitter.com/QDEKeb4Egl

In reality, Bremmer’s fake quote was way worse than Woods’ tweet, especially since Woods 1) didn’t create the meme and 2) was up front in his tweet that it was fake.
So, will Twitter punish Bremmer in any way? (HAHAHAHA!)
