Grassroots Animal Activist Award
Each year, the Animal Rights National Conference presents the Grassroots Animal Activist Award to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to promoting animal rights at the grassroots level for at least ten years and has not been employed by a national animal organization during such activity. This year's award will be presented at the AR2019 conference banquet in Washington DC, on Saturday July 27th.
The requirements are: 1) The nominee is vegan, 2) has made outstanding contribution to promoting animals rights at the grassroots level for at least ten years, and 3) has not been employed by a national or international animal rights organization during such activity.
The award is intended both as recognition of outstanding activism and to inspire conference participants to greater activism. Therefore, the awardee must receive the award in person.
Nominations for the Award, including an account of the nominee's accomplishments and contact information, should be entered below and submitted by June 21st.
