The Brooklyn band Red Baraat makes unprecedented, high energy fusions of jazz, hip-hop beats, rock muscle, funky go- go, and scalding hot bhangra. In addition to debuting at #1 on the Billboard World Music Charts with their album Shruggy Ji, the band has performed at the White House, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, headlined the WOMAD Festival, TED, and the Olympic Games. Lead by Sunny Jain, who Manchester Salon calls “Hendrix of dhol”, they will perform work off their new album, “Sound The People”.
