The Metyah web-based profile and messaging platform lets you create a dating app-style profile (name, pic, age, location) so you can go home after the event, log in, and start messaging the people you just met to let them know you're interested.
NOTE: You can list a variation of your first name on your profile or even use an alias, as long as you use the same name on your name tag. Profiles will not be viewable until after the event has ended.
You don't need to download an app. This can all be done using a tablet, smartphone, desktop or laptop.
THE BENEFITS:

- You don't have to worry about sharing an easily traceable email address that contains your last name, full name or place of work.
- Messaging capabilities end 48hrs after the event. That means you're less likely to receive awkward follow-up messages.
- If you attend another Metyah speeddating event or Networking mixer, you can reactivate your profile so you don't have to make another one.
ADMISSION INCLUDES:

HOW IT WORKS:
- Register here.
- 1-2 days before the event, you'll receive an email and text from us. In the message will be a secret code and a link to use to create a Metyah profile. You will receive a second email and text with the code and link the day of the event, just in case. You must create a profile before the event to participate.
- Arrive at the venue to check-in. A group rep will be on site to greet you and check you in. You'll be given a sheet to write down the names of people you meet.
- Mix and mingle!
AFTER THE EVENT:
- Log on to the Metyah web-based app and start messaging! You will have 48 hours to contact the people you met.
- NOTE: No response is a response. Please do not send follow-up messages unless someone has replied to your initial email. Reports of misuse of the system (spam/abuse/inappropriate language) will result in banning from all future events as well as any other action required to ensure the behavior doesn't continue.
- If someone responds, you'll receive a notification email sent to the account you used to register.
- Log in to Metyah, strike up a conversation, give them the contact info of your choice, and meet up!
- Since all messaging occurs on the Metyah site, no personal or identifiable contact info will be visible or shared until YOU decide when to share the information, just like a regular dating app.
- Messaging capabilities and profiles will not be available until an hour after the event has ended. That way there's no awkward on-site messaging.
IMPORTANT:
- Only the profiles of people who checked-in at the event will be eligible for messaging.
- Profiles are not viewable until after the event.
THE BASICS:
- Refunds only available if events are canceled. Refunds processed within 30 days.
- Event should last about 2hrs
- First 20-30 minutes are for check-in
- Expect about 15-25 people. Cash bar. Menu available if you wish to order food. (Food and drink not included in admission.)
- Members are welcome to mingle at the bar after the event.
- The venue has given us a semi-private section of their lounge. As such, spots are limited. Please try to patronize the bar. There are no drink minimums required, but we do like to show appreciation to the venue for giving us space.
- Please note: prepayment required to monitor gender ratio.
- If you cancel at least 3 days in advance, we can provide you with a code to register for another event at no cost.
- Business casual attire requested. Please no t-shirts, ripped jeans, hats or active wear.
