| Warm Up for the Bank Holiday |
|
To stay safe and get the most out of your workout - whether it be a few hours gardening, a 5km run or a game of golf - you should always include a pre-workout warm-up before you begin and then finish with a cool down to get your body back into gear. Warm-ups are critical to performance and fewer injuries.
Warm-ups should always be dynamic, always use active exercises (e.g., hops, rotations, chest expansions) to get our bodies ready.

| Meet Zoe Barrett: APOS Certified Physiotherapist @ Therapeutics |
|
Zoe qualified as a physiotherapist from Manchester University in 2001 and has worked in London, New Zealand and Winchester since then. She has been a member of the Therapeutics team for 10 years and loves being part of such an expert multidisciplinary team. Zoe specialises in the total rehabilitation of sports injuries in participants at all levels. She uses a combination of manual therapy, movement correction, Pilates, exercise therapy and acupuncture to restore function and manage pain.
Most recently Zoe has qualified as an APOS Certified Physiotherapist. This has given her a greater depth of knowledge into gait biomechanics and the importance of optimising this to minimise long term injury and degeneration. See below for more information on APOS therapy.
Zoe is a water-sports, snow sports and triathlon enthusiast. She is mother to Flossy, Heidi and Oscar who keep her on her toes and she loves to be outdoors near the sea or mountains living her very best life.
