Poco F1 receiving MIUI 10.2.2.0 Global Stable update; brings low-light mode, Slow-Mo video recording and more

Xiaomi Poco F1 has now started getting the latest MIUI 10.2.1.0 Global Stable update globally. The new Global Stable Update brings in a slow-mode with 960fps frame rate. The new Global Update also brings in an enhanced low-light mode. The MIUI 10 update comes weeks after Xiaomi had released Android Pie for the Poco F1 through the MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM. Poco India General Manager C Manmohan had revealed last week that the new software update was under development. Manmohan had also stated through his official Twitter account that the 960fps super slo-mo recording support and also a night mode would be making a debut on the Poco F1 within two weeks.

Users have posted on various MIUI forums that the MIUI 10.2.2.0 Global Stable update for the Poco F1 is now rolling out. The update carries build V10.2.2.0 PEJMIXM and is 311MB in size. One of the major features of the new update on the Poco F1 is the super slo-mo shoot feature which features 960fps videos. The new options will sit alongside the existing 120fps and 240fps slow-motion video recording support. Also, there is an enhanced low-light mode to improve night shots.

Poco Global Head Alvin Tse took to Twitter to confirm that the MIUI 10.2.2.0 will be rolling out with a bunch of bug fixes. Since it will be an OTA update, the broader rollout will begin in the next few days for Poco F1 users.

Poco India General Manager C Manmohan also stated about the development last week and had said that the latest update will optimise battery drain and touch issues.

Xiaomi will also be bringing 60fps support for 4K video recording to the Poco F1 in February, according to C Manmohan's tweet last week. The executive also showed plans to provide Widevine L1 certification. However, there was no word on any concrete timeline.
