After much speculation, Ant McPartlin's return to TV presenting has been confirmed.

Speaking on this morning's (January 17) Good Morning Britain, Richard Arnold officially revealed that Ant will be reuniting with Declan Donnelly for the 2019 series of Britain's Got Talent.

The star will return for the auditions, which begin begin tomorrow (January 18) in London. We imagine the series will begin broadcasting around April as per usual.

Ant stepped away from the spotlight last year to recover from his personal issues and go to rehab, after he was arrested for a drink-driving incident in March 2018. He was also fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months.

Dec presented the live shows of BGT and the final two episodes of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway on his own. On I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, Dec presented with Holly Willoughby for the entire series.

Back in October, it was revealed that Ant had been sober for a whole six months, with a friend stating that he was "happier than I've seen him in years".

Last year also saw Ant divorce from his wife of 20 years, Lisa Armstrong, on the grounds of adultery. He has since entered into a new relationship with his personal assistant Anne-Marie Corbett.
