Brave Reaches 1M Downloads Monthly, Surpassing Firefox, Coinbase, and Binance

The Brave browser, part of the Basic Attention Token (BAT) ecosystem, and which hopes to offers users better privacy and control over their data, has hit an important milestone in its already impressive growth: the browser now receives over 1 million monthly downloads.

The statistic only showcases downloads on the Android platform, and not Apple or desktop – which only further emphasizes the phenomenal growth. What is truly notable is that this beats the number of recent downloads of Firefox, Binance, and Coinbase, which are at 756,000, 109,000 and 88,000 respectively.

In addition to the exponential growth that the Brave browser has been experiencing – the Brave browser has seen a growth of 450% in active usage since 2018 – the project has also added nearly 8000 YouTubers to its list of verified creators over the past few days. Website and Twitch publishers are roughly at 20,000 and 8,000 respectively.

Experts and industry insiders have also showered the Brave browser with praise. Larry Sanger, co-founder of Wikipedia, has moved onto the Brave browser from Chrome, and has suggested to his readers that they do the same.

The Brave browser has also launched its much anticipated Brave Ads program, which rewards users for viewing advertisements.
