In a new music video parody, Star Wars' Kylo Ren and Rey duet to the tune of A Star is Born's stirring ballad "Shallow." "Kylo" from the fictional A Star Wars is Born soundtrack puts the Reylo ship center stage as the pair come together to sing about their attraction to each other and the rivalries that divide them.

Freddy Scott portrays a masked Kylo Ren, with Myah Marie as Rey. The pair faithfully capture the singing styles of Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga respectively, while still maintaining their characters' place in the Star Wars universe.

As Kylo Ren attempts to convince Rey to join him on the Dark Side, Rey encourages him to consider who he wants to be: Kylo Ren or Ben Solo. Then they join together in a rousing chorus, but instead of repeatedly singing the word "Shallow," the pair alternate "Kylo" and "Solo."

The parody includes nods to recent Star Wars prequels The Last Jedi and The Force Awakens: someone guzzles green milk, a Porg wobbles on the side of the stage and BB-8 sparks a lighter. It also includes nods to A Star is Born, including Kylo Ren drawing his finger over Rey's nose as Cooper's Jackson does to Lady Gaga's Ally in the film.

Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode IX stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Matt Smith, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. The film is scheduled to open on December 20.
