Vladimir Duran

My name's Vladimir Duran. I fell in love with storytelling as a kid and it never really stopped. For most of that time, I told stories by writing them down. Then I decided to try painting my own covers and a new avenue opened up for me. I’ve been painting nearly every day for the last three or so years and it shows no sign of stopping. Painting allows me to tell a story about a character with nothing but a single image. A single glimpse into their world. I’ve always loved drawing because it was a way to focus my mind down to a single point of reference. When I’m drawing a line I’m completely focused on drawing the line perfectly, nothing else. It became something I could really dive into when I got myself an iPad pro a few years ago. Since then I’ve been drawing nearly every day and my work has only improved. Apparently, practice may not make perfect but it can make you much better. To be honest, I’m joining patreon to cut off my hedging and really go in on painting. I want to be held accountable if I fail to deliver my best each and every time out.
