Warning! Spoilers for W.E.B. of Spider-Man #1 by Marvel Comics below.

Spider-Man and Iron Man 3's Harley Keener don't exactly see eye-to-eye when it comes to who is really Tony Stark's sidekick. In a new W.E.B. of Spider-Man story from Marvel Comics, Iron Man's young proteges meet one another and disagree about which one of them is truly his right-hand man. Peter Parker and Harley both claim the role.

Harley Keener first appeared in Iron Man 3, as the youngster helped Tony Stark find his way again after his entire life came crashing down after an attack by Aldrich Killian. Keener (played by Ty Simpkins) proved to be quite the inventor, as he first encountered Tony with his own potato gun, making quite the impression on the Avenger. Keener would make a surprise reappearance in Stark's funeral scene in Avengers: Endgame. And now, the character has been introduced in the pages of Marvel Comics as Keener is part of the new W.E.B. team assembled by Stark, who are among the smartest kids in the world.

In W.E.B. of Spider-Man #1 by Kevin Shinick, Alberto Alburquerque, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Travis Lanham, Peter Parker arrives at the W.E.B. (World Engineering Brigade) facility founded by Tony Stark. It's there he's brought together some of the brightest teen minds to work together to learn and discover new tech and inventions. Peter - who's hiding his secret identity - introduces himself to his colleagues including Lunella Lafayette, Onome, and Harley Keener. When he has his first conversation with Harley, he's asked if he's the person who made tech for Spider-Man. He says it's very "impressive" and that he can see why he's the web-slinger's right-hand man. Keener introduces himself as "Iron Man's right-hand man," which Peter doesn't really agree with.

Peter responds to Harley by telling him Spider-Man is Iron Man's right-hand man, which is the reason he's been invited to W.E.B. Keener crosses his arms in frustration as Peter asks him "how long have you known Tony?" while claiming Spider-Man's known Iron Man for a very long time.

Peter Parker has a close relationship with Iron Man in the MCU - as this comic is inspired by those adventures. Since that's the case, the young hero is a little perplexed to learn someone else thinks he's Iron Man's right-hand man. However, Harley Keener wouldn't be in the position he is without assisting Iron Man during one of his darkest hours and earning a spot on the W.E.B. team. Both Spider-Man and Harley Keener should be happy they both are close with Iron Man, as fighting over who's truly his sidekick ultimately solves nothing. W.E.B. of Spider-Man #1 is in stores now.
