An incredibly busy week has left precious little time for social media. The one positive thing I did was post an ad for a recently sold home, got noticed by a homeowner, and was fortunate to compete/win an upcoming listing as a result. I have had really good success with sold ads...probably better than any other type I do. What type of Facebook ads (if you run them) are providing the best results for your biz? 

There has been quite a bit of talk about FB privacy (again) the past couple of weeks. I know some are skiddish their information is being stolen/scraped. Does that concern you? I am curious...if it does what steps are you taking to protect your information (i.e. locking down your account, deleting your FB page, etc.). Inquiring minds (mine) want to know. ;-)

Thanks Debe. It must be a glitch. I cannot imagine an O.H. boost costing that much or anyone doing it for that price.

I haven't done all that many Facebook ads and have tended to do more boosts. I've not done this for a sold property but it's on the checklist for the next listing.

Hi Anita- you have done so much for the members here with your Facebook Friday posts!!!   I don't know what anyone is doing to protect their information. Outside of changing our passwords religiously, I'm not sure what to do.

I have not used Facebook ads yet. I usually try to boost the posts with very limited success.  I have heard various opinions about advertising on Facebook.

Hi Anita, Thanks for the tip. I quite sharing my friend list. Someone told me that helps. I haven't had issues since. I also try to be very careful who I accept as a friend and I don't open strange links or copy/paste things into my feed or messages. I'm sure there's more that could be done.

Sham: Trust your own testing not what someone else tells you. Try a couple of $20 ads over the next month and see what your results look like.

Carla: Both are good ways to limit access by those who want your information for the wrong reasons.

Anita, thank you for sharing your success with your recent sold post. I am going to test that out, haven't tried it with a sold home before. For Facebook and privacy, I think it's like everything else, there's a risk and we shouldn't post anything we wouldn't want to be leaked. We just have to accept that hacking is the world we live in and creating really strong passwords really helps.
