Our Mission

TRYPS Children’s Theater has been teaching, reaching, and inspiring young people across mid-Missouri through the magic of theater for more than 20 years with programs including: classes in the performing arts, spring break and summer theater camps, full scale family-friendly productions, free community engagement opportunities, and special events throughout the calendar year.

Why We're Great

Our classrooms and theaters are filled with the joyous roar of our students, young audiences, families, friends and our community. With opportunities for young people from cradle to college, there is something fun for kids of all ages. Your support provides this community with one of a kind performing arts experiences that grow minds and hearts, and bring joy to the youth of mid-Missouri.

TRYPS changes the lives of young people in our community. Don't believe us? Ask them yourself! "TRYPS is my escape, my theater home, and one of the only places I can truly be me." Alice, 8th grade. "TRYPS is the first place I've ever felt included. The first place I could ever truly be myself." Jackson, 7th grade.

CoMoGives donations will be going towards the purchase of a new sounds system. Your donations allow us to redirect revenue from other sources toward scholarships for programming, costuming our actors, hiring top quality guest artists, purchasing classroom supplies, and much, much more.

Donations from CoMoGives 2022 were used to subsidize student ticket prices to our field trip performances, allowing over 2500 young people engage in the performing arts, many for the very first time.
