More than two months after the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation took effect, some marketing companies are struggling to get their compliance efforts up to speed. A survey of 255 marketers around the globe by marketing technology provider DemandBase found that only 32 percent of respondents were fully GDPR compliant, while 20 percent were unaware of the regulation at all.
What’s more, over half, 57 percent, said they struggled with understanding the GDPR’s provisions, while 44 percent struggled with data management and 40 percent with obtaining consent from users.
