Geiger (PPAI 105182) hosted its annual Geiger Galleria education conference and trade show in Phoenix, Arizona, at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel on July 12-15. The Lewiston, Maine-headquartered distributor’s event drew approximately 350 sales representatives, suppliers and employees.

The event began with a motivational and educational presentation from Gene Geiger, CEO, and Dale Denham, CIO. Attendees chose classes from the morning and afternoon educational groups offered. Anne Stone, PPAI director of public affairs, joined the education program to speak on Prop 65. The day wrapped up with dinner and a presentation from motivational speaker Rita Davenport.

The trade show floor opened on Saturday after a breakfast “game show” from the Farmers’ Almanac, “Are You Smarter Than a Farmers’ Almanac Philom.” The event was capped off with an awards ceremony that evening where Geiger Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Region was named division of the year. In addition, Chris McKee, vice president of corporate programs, presented David Kennealey with the Chairman’s Club award for outstanding achievement in corporate programs. McKee says, “When we considered the winners of this award, David was the clear recipient. I fully expect David will receive the award again in years ahead. He goes above and beyond to share his knowledge and give top-rate service.”
