Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz.) yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Honey Bun Cake

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees and grease a 9x13-inch cake pan.

  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, sour cream and oil in a large bowl. Stir until well blended and then set the cake batter aside.

  3. In another bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.

  4. Evenly spread half of the cake batter into your pan. Sprinkle with half of the brown sugar and cinnamon, covering the entire cake.

  5. Spread the rest of the cake batter over the cinnamon-sugar layer.

  6. Top with remaining sugar and cinnamon. Swirl through the batter with a knife in order to create a pretty cinnamon swirl pattern.

  7. Bake for around 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.
