The Warren County Port Authority and the Environmental Protection Agency finally have deemed it safe and ready for development.

That means Cartridge Brewing can begin construction on its business in the historic local landmark.

While the brewery will be the anchor of the site, it that won't be the only tenant. The 24,000-square-foot factory will be a mixed-use space with restaurants and retail, as well as 135 apartments, the Port Authority said.

The factory is located along the Little Miami Bike Trail at 1415 Grandin Road.

Bloomfield Schon & Partners will manage the redevelopment.
