𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 Tricia and I were recently in Poitiers, France. I was reminded why I love going to fresh markets. It's a Marketing 101 refresher. In particular, the Marketing Mix, or the 4Ps: • Product • Price • Place • Promotion What can you do differently when the vendor across from you is selling the same gourds? Our vendor, Verge, artfully displayed gourds of all shapes and colors (product) at the bustling entrance to the market (place). He gave us an additional free gourd for our purchase (price). He was also informative and kind, encouraging us to tell our friends (promotion) here on LinkedIn. :) BTW — The Hungarian Blue Gourd was brilliant. Sliced, deseeded, and cooked at 200ºC for 30 minutes. It has a lower sugar content, and the skin peeled right off. Grab one if you see one!

Bordeaux knows a little bit about growth marketing. This Enlightenment-era city lay dormant for decades. It is now one of the hottest real estate markets in France.
