Greetings! If you're a fan of RoboTV, you'll remember that in 2017, I took a 20 year old JSP/Servlet/JDBC web application and updated it to run in a modern day Docker container.

In my new videos below, I extend the concept further by using modern DevOps techniques to incorporate cloud-based toolchains into a transformation effort to leverage newer technologies such as NodeJS, Microservices and Istio.

The first video focuses on the 'Dev' portion of the exercise:

And the second video focuses more on the 'Ops' portion, where I deploy my transformed application into IBM Cloud, making it highly available, fault tolerate, and continuously available:
