With two highly disliked candidates at the top of the ticket in 2016, it may be hard to win re-election, but Duke is someone — or rather, some dog — who won his seat again with ease.

Duke, a Great Pyrenees, won another one-year term as mayor of Cormorant, Minn., with every vote in the small town (population: 1,039 as of the 2010 Census) besides one — that vote went to his girlfriend, Lassie, according to a Cincinnati TV station.

Duke has been in his position of power since 2014, when he beat human resident Richard Sherbrook for the position (12 people voted in that election). But there were no hard feelings: Even Sherbrook voted for Duke.
