Mexborough Business Centre would like to announce that they are currently purchasing the Resource Centre, (the Old Times building) due for completion in the first week of September. Our objective is to revitalize the place and create a hub that is relevant, accessible and open to all. We want you to tell us what you would like to see the Centre provide for our community.

We intend to provide a channel of communication for the various funded community-based groups and charities in the local area, who could be finding it difficult to find places to work from, enabling collaborations, wherever appropriate. We aim to re-engage with the community, to encourage groups to base as many of their various services and offerings here, instead of going further afield.

We aim to accommodate several different types of organisations, by tailoring our facilities and equipment as much as possible, to suit their varying purposes, whilst making access and use of the building flexible and easy.

We hope to appoint an independent chair, who would coordinate use of the centre on behalf of these groups and charities, to ensure we provide a wide, exciting, relevant spectrum of social, leisure, artistic and educational opportunities for the people of Mexborough.

If you are a funded group and are interested in working with us, please get in touch. We provide free business marketing support for all events, courses, meetings and activities held at the Resource Centre.

If you are a member of the public and would like to access a certain type of activity, group, course or service that we don’t currently have access to in Mexborough now, please comment here, or privately by email or telephone and let us know, so that we can assess demand and source the appropriate resource accordingly.
