Governor Proclaims Arts in Education Week 2019
Arts North Carolina is proud that Governor Roy Cooper has joined in the national celebration and proclaimed September 8-14, 2019 as Arts in Education Week in North Carolina. Please tell the Governor that you appreciate that he has recognized the arts as “essential to a complete education” via Facebook, Twitter, or Email. Also, be sure to share using #BecauseOfArtsEd and #ArtsEdWeek.
Arts North Carolina will be celebrating Arts in Education Week with hundreds arts educators from across the state. Executive Director, Nate McGaha will be presenting sessions on Making a Case for Arts Education at the Arts R4 Life Conference at Meredith College presented by the NC Department of Public Instruction K-12 Arts Division. The Governor’s proclamation will be on display and available for participants to take photos and get the good news out on social media and thank @NCGovernor.
