The first trailer for the upcoming 13th season of the hit show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was released online today. The sitcom stars Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson and Danny Devito as the "Paddy's Pub" gang, a group of friends who are extremely selfish, self-destructive, unethical, and dishonest. The show was renewed for season 13 and 14 in 2016, making it tie with The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet for the longest running live-action sitcom in American television history.

It's Always Sunny premiered on FX before being moved to FXX for its ninth season. Its options for what network it can air on are limited, since the show is famously known for the radical displays of debauchery that The Gang gets up to. They drink heavily, often use drugs, swear freely, and inflict physical, emotional, and psychological pain on each other and their enemies. The last season ended with the discovery that Dennis had a secret family, including a child. He leaves Paddy's Pub and Philadelphia behind, turning his back on the manic life he once led and choosing to raise his kid instead. It was very unclear whether or not Dennis would return for season 13, but it has since been confirmed that he will be present, although in what way is unknown.

FXX dropped the trailer for season 13 of It's Always Sunny today, giving fans their first look at the long delayed return of the dark comedy. The Gang is up to their usual inappropriate antics. The trailer shows them going to a sexual harassment seminar, where Dee strolls in chugging drinks and mocking the "Time's Up" movement. Charlie claims that "we don't really have any history of misbehavior at Paddy's Pub," which fans will know is the furthest thing from the truth. There's lots of different chaotic things going on the trailer, the most disturbing of them being Danny Devito's Frank using lemon juice and a hot glue gun to close up a wound.

Mac also unveils a life-size sex doll of Dennis, due to him being sad about his friend leaving. As Mac puts it, "I needed something Dennis-shaped to fill my hole." He's explaining this to Mindy Kaling, who's been rumored to be joining the show since June. The trailer also shows Dee and her friend Artemis drinking on a plane, which looks like a repeat of the game the group plays in the season 10 premiere, "The Gang Beats Boggs". They're even wearing the shirts that keep their tally of how many beers they've had.

After a significant delay, the 13th season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is finally premiering in just two weeks. The show became the success that it is with its character's wild schemes and antics, and the new season promises to be full of shocking, disgusting and immoral surprises. Fans of the series don't expect anything less.
