11 Entrepreneur Podcast Picks for PR Success

Americans sure love our media—we now spend about 11 hours per day watching, reading, listening to or just interacting with it. One can only hope that a portion of that time is allocated to consuming content that is educational, motivating, and inspiring you to reach your fullest potential.

Don’t worry—you don’t need to make more time or space in your already busy life for self-improvement. It’s surprisingly simple to work it into your existing routine with entrepreneur podcasts. If you’re one of the over 139 million people who commutes to work, why not enjoy the uplifting and enriching stories of a proven CEO or founder as you watch the world (and all its traffic) go by? We spend an average of 1.8 trillion minutes commuting each year. What a waste, if this time is not put to good use!

Check out this list of 11 exceptional entrepreneur podcasts to get yourself started, starting with the futurist females first.

1. ‘The Marie Forleo Podcast’

Named by Oprah as a thought leader for the next generation, Marie Forleo is the person to turn to to create the life you want to live. Each episode leaves you feeling ready to tackle that goal or obstacle with a fresh perspective.

2. ‘The Nicole Holland Show’

The Nicole Holland Show podcast equips you not only with inspiring stories, but with the actionable strategies, tactics, advice, and helpful business building resources you need to move forward. Holland is an expert in management and marketing whose experience in innovation, marketing, scaling and running disruptive businesses makes this a must-listen for startup founders, investors and executives alike. 3. ‘The Skinny Confidential’

To quote Lauren Conrad, “My favorite position is CEO.” The Skinny Confidential Him and Her Podcast is the perfect entrepreneur podcast for those looking for advice on all things business, wellness, beauty, and lifestyle. Lauryn Evarts and Michael Bosstick interview thought leaders and successful business leaders across various industries; past guests have included Jessica Alba and Marie Forleo. If you’re looking for a cheeky podcast that leaves you with tangible tips to use from the boardroom to the bedroom, this is it.

4. ‘The Bellas’ Podcast

The Bella twins have gone from WWE Superstars to TV personalities, entrepreneurs, and now podcasters extraordinaire. Nikki and Brie Bella give you inside access to their lives like never before with “The Bellas Podcast”.

This new podcast is fun, refreshing and entertaining, and the Bellas don’t hold anything back. Good laughs and memorable stories will keep you entertained whether you are driving, working out, or just having a night at home. Grab a front row seat for the scoop on their lives, gossip, rumors, businesses, WWE, and more.

5. ‘Often Ambitious’ Podcast

Erika and Lindsey share tangible stories, riveting interviews, and a behind-the-scenes look at what it is to be often ambitious in this entrepreneurial podcast for risk-taking women.

True to its name, this podcast eschews the idea that you should be “always on” and comes from a more realistic and attainable vantage point. As the creators say, “We'd be lying to you if we said we always felt 100% on our game. In fact, there are days where we don't feel it at all.”

In a world where women are expected to be effortless and perfect, Erika and Lindsey encourage you to embrace your imperfections. I personally love this podcast as much for its co-hosts’ upbeat banter as their excellent discussions on direct marketing and using social media for your business.

6. ‘Get Yourself Optimized’

If you’re looking to improve your health, wealth, partner intimacy, peer group, spirit, career, and business, this podcast is the one for you. Stephan Spencer aims to help you optimize every aspect of your life and “reboot” yourself, when necessary. His interviews are legendary, with business leaders like Mandi Ellefson and Brian Martin, specialists like author and tax expert Diane Kennedy, and even hostage negotiator Chris Voss. An experienced podcaster and accomplished content creator, Stephan offers a massive catalogue of existing podcast episodes for your playlist.

7. ‘The Productivity Show’

The term “Asian Efficiency” began as an inside joke among a group of Americans who noticed how their Asian friends finished incredible amounts of work in what seemed like no time, and without any stress. Of course, being productive has little to do with being Asian (or not)—it’s really about the right success mindsets, rituals and systems. In the Productivity Show Podcast, you’ll gain insight into how the most successful and productive people manage their work, family life, and health. Their goal is to help you expend the least amount of effort in order to achieve your maximum output. We could all use some Asian Efficiency in our lives!

8. ‘The Productivityist Podcast’

If you’re tired of “doing” productive and want to start actually being productive, you’re in the right place. Mike Vardy, creator of The Productivityist Podcast, will show you how to define your day, funnel your focus, and make every moment matter. He promises interviews, ideas, and insights and delivers on all fronts with episodes like ‘What Great Leaders Possess,” “Consider This: Maybe It’s You,” and “Exploring Digital Minimalism.” Other topics he’s covered recently include solopreneurship, transitioning from an employee to entrepreneur mindset, and being called to change.

9. ‘Making Sense’

Sam Harris is a neuroscientist, philosopher, and best-selling author. In his podcast “Making Sense,” Harris explores topics as diverse and wide-ranging as neuroscience, moral philosophy, religion, meditation practice, human violence, rationality. Overall, he aims to help us understand ourselves and how evolving technologies and societal issues are impacting our sense of how we should live our lives. If you could benefit from a higher level exploration of the human condition and what’s next for us in business, community, and life, check this one out.

10. ‘Marketing Speak’

Marketing Speak is a podcast in which thought leaders and professional speakers weigh in on important marketing-related issues. It’s the second in this list hosted by Stephan Spencer, who promises in this one to help take your marketing to the next level. You’ll find episodes such as, “Cracking the Publicity Code with Selena Soo,” “Marketing Automation That Actually Works with Brad Martineau,” and “SEO Unpacked with Mike King.” Spencer is a hands on pro who made a name for himself in SEO and then became a born again publicity machine getting all types of media coverage and headlines. As a result of listening to Marketing Speak, we learned of another podcast that made the list as number eleven. We just had to grit our teeth when they all started talking about the worst PR pitches and how they hate getting pitched.

11. ‘Hustle and FlowCharts’

The Hustle and Flowchart Podcast dynamic duo hosts Matt Wolfe and Joe Fier went from agency owner life to digital hipster creators. No more clients and deadlines. They highlight and teach and make money selling digital products and services to shed light to entrepreneurs how to monetize. In a very flowing way, each episode invites a guest and the three-some conversation begins. Follow highlights and Stories on Instagram.

Even though they slightly bash PR people (who doesn’t) and delete pitches, the show is definitely inspiring and tempted us to rethink exploring on the affiliate lifestyle business, launch a podcast and start selling downloadable content. Even though this is number eleven does not make it is last place, it’s a winner.
