Warner Bros. took over Hall H on Saturday at Comic-Con International in San Diego, and while much of the footage shown at the convention was swiftly released online, some of it was purely reserved for those lucky enough to be in attendance. Thankfully, though, CBR had boots on the ground at the big event, and as such, we've got a description of the exclusive footage from Wonder Woman 1984 that was screened.

The footage features Gal Gadot's Diana Prince/Wonder Woman rescuing a young girl from a pair of gunmen at a quintessential 1980s shopping mall. The Amazon Princess gives the girl a smile and tells her to hold on as she slides her into a large teddy bear display before crushing the armed men's weapons and lassoing them up. The footage is described as "SUPER bright, super well lit" and "fun."

“The thing that I love the most about Wonder Woman,” director Patty Jenkins said, “is that she is us more than most superheroes. People find themselves in Wonder Woman more than other heroes.”

When asked about the setting, Jenkins said “It was mankind at it’s best and worst. We’re aware of things now that we weren’t in the 80s, there were some incredible and beautiful things in the 80s but at the same time there were some of the worst. It’s us at our most extreme.”

Directed by Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal, Wonder Woman 1984 is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
