Jason Momoa sees action in new 'Aquaman' trailer

HAWAII (HawaiiNewsNow) - Fans now have access to a bigger glimpse of "Aquaman" than ever before in the new trailer released Saturday.

It's evident that Hawaii-born Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry will be in some action-packed battles in the underwater world.

The trailer opens as the superhero's parents, one from land and one from sea, have a child with special powers over the ocean.

The trailer goes on to reveal that Curry's half-brother, Orm, is about to declare war on the surface world.

Mera, played by Amber Herd, explains that the only way to stop the war is for Curry to take his rightful place as king.

The film comes to theaters Dec. 21.
