Big Island cop turns himself in after evidence tampering indictment

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) -A retired member of the Hawaii County Police Department has turned himself in.

Officer Chadwick Fukui went to police Wednesday after being indicted in a case involving another retired officer Brian Miller, who is accused of stealing drug evidence last year.

Fukui, 67, was charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence.

After posting $2,000 in bail for the various counts, he was released.
