About 300 students attend the school and parents are waiting to find out if the school will reopen in time for the first day of school.

There are 3 options the district is considering:

  • Empty buildings
  • Modular classrooms
  • Temporary assignments of classrooms to other buildings in Shaker

The goal is to make a decision on a temporary location by Aug. 1.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

Another community meeting about the clean-up is set for Thursday night in Lomond Elementary's gym.
