Hatem Ali's son Omar has underwent an exclusive interview with ET Bil Arabi; unfolding some secrets about his late father.
Omar said that Hatem Ali was practicing his normal routine filming his new series Safarbarlak in Cairo and he looked healthy and in natural conditions few days before his sudden death.
However; the night before he died, Omar said that Hatem "screamed" of pain.
He added that his father was trying to show that he was in good health although it was deteriorating due to his smoking cravings, but he refused to show his feelings of tiredness and fatigue because of his pride.
The young man confirmed that he was very shocked upon hearing the news of his father's death, and he wept for two consecutive days.
Omar also talked about the fate of Safarbarlak series, which his father was working on, pointing out that "the production company decided to pause filming for a certain period of time, to find a solution to this calamity that afflicted us all."
As for the late director’s brother, he explained that Hatem Ali had suffered a severe health crisis hours before his death, and he managed to call his doctor who found him dead upon arrival, adding that he was able to phone call his brother for the last time one night before he passed away.
