International trade seminar – Doing Business in China

Suffolk Chamber’s Doing Business in China event takes place on 20 September at Ufford Park Woodbridge Hotel, Golf & Spa and brings together three top China experts.

  • International trade expert Boyi Mu from the China-Britain Business Council will be advising businesses as to how they can expand upon their existing international exporting efforts
  • Richard Melton from Suffolk Chamber-member BSP international Foundations Ltd who will provide a case study as to how the company secured business in China
  • Tom Bool from Integro Languages will provide an overview of the cultural barriers that may face British businesses entering the Chinese market – and how to overcome them

Suffolk Chamber International’s marketing and international trade coordinator Rachel Cornes, explains: “Suffolk Chamber International’s latest training course could not be more timely. With Stansted Airport promising direct flights to the country, UK government ministers making frequent trips there and with it already being the country’s 6th largest export market, China should be on the radar of every Suffolk business involved in – or looking to get into – international trade.

“In a post-Brexit Britain, China will be an even more significant trading partner. It is vital that Suffolk businesses are well-prepared for the enormous opportunities and challenges presented by this vast and growing marketplace. This is a wonderful opportunity for local businesses to become more ‘China-ready’.”
