This year we have decided to climb mount snowdon as a family, to raise money for Steel Bones UK - our local charity run by our good friends Leigh and Emma Joy-Staines. 

When Leigh told us of his own personal story, we wanted to help somehow but couldn't, so when the Steel Bones UK charity was officially registered in 2017, we were keen to help as much as we could. 

Climbing Mount Snowdon will be a challenge for us (relatively fit and healthy mortals) let alone the amputees that will be facing the challenge of a lifetime! 

These are people who have struggled to do the most simple daily tasks, such as walking to the shops, getting dressed in the morning, or even just feeling accepted and comfortable in public. The emotional turmoil these guys face is beyond comprehension. 

For us, this is a way of showing our full support to an amazing charity and a fantastic bunch of inspiring people! We can't wait to reach the summit and wave those flags with the first 'group' of amputees to climb mount snowdon together.
