Great leaders are big enough to admit own mistakes, correct them, and learn from them.

If a person is big enough, they will never ruin an apology with an excuse as to why they did what they did.

They will never fail to try to remedy it, to correct it, to learn from it.

Because they know that an apology by itself is just the first step, necessary but insufficient.

For several years every day I would get apologies from my railroad - "we apologize for the inconvenience our late arrival caused to your journey." Every day for four years ... They changed nothing, but I changed my transportation method.

We can apologize over and over again, but if our actions do not change, our words become meaningless.
