Trent Wilkie is a husband/father/writer/journalist/performer in Edmonton. Trent has written for CBC Radio, Fangoria Magazine, Edmonton Sun, Exclaim Magazine, Fort Saskatchewan Record, Theatre Network, The Edmonton Fringe, and is currently pouring his heart and soul into his award-winning blog The UnDad, which as recently expanded into a podcast. Trent is also a member of Mostly Water Theatre, a local sketch comedy troupe.

It’s Sunday morning, what are you having for breakfast?

A mushroom and cheese omelette, fresh fruit, coffee, and whatever the kids can throw into my mouth when I’m not paying attention.

A park ranger.

Who’s your hero?

I wouldn’t say I have a hero, but the person with the biggest influence on my life is Kurt Vonnegut. If I had to say hero, the closest is my wife Elizabeth Wilkie.

Who was your childhood celebrity crush?

Christina Ricci and Gabriela Sabatini.

Its winters.

When someone calls something ‘unbelievable’ I immediately tell them that I don’t believe them.

Entitled drivers.

What’s your fast-food guilty pleasure?

McDonald’s cheeseburgers.

What was your most embarrassing moment?

Forgetting people’s names. All the time.

Alden Nowlan. Or Alexander III of Macedon.

What’s your favourite vacation destination?

Cuba. Or Invermere.

Deadwood.

Immortality.

What’s the one thing you haven’t done that you’d love to do?

Practical: Learn to properly ride a horse. Impractical: Fight a ghost.
