Italian Fashion & Design school, Istituto Marangoni, in collaboration with Taxi Fabric and Indiefolio unveiled the fabric of the ‘Sunset Taxis’, which was designed by 20 talented student designers (under the mentorship of the Taxi Fabric organization) from the Mumbai campus of the institute.

This initiative by Istituto Marangoni was in keeping with their philosophy of nurturing emerging young talent with the objective of promoting creativity and innovation in design.

Inspired by Taxi Fabric’s journey in the last three years to transform the changing face of public transportation in Mumbai through meaningful and relevant art and design, this showcase exhibited the two taxis that were created at the workshop hosted in June at Istituto Marangoni. The taxis are an ode to the charming Queen’s Necklace of Mumbai and the iconic Premier Padmini, the workhorse of the city’s kaali-peeli fleet of cabs.
