First the h and H have an affair whilst H is in a relationship with another woman (a long term relationship) - h knows he has a girlfriend

Then 7 years later H is back in h's life but this time the h is in a relationship with another man and they have been together for 6 years

H and h start sleeping together and thus she cheats on her partner

Her partner falls for her best friend

And everyone lives happily ever after

When I read the blurb, I was just curious to know that why hero choose OW. So I decided to read a few chapters.

Our hero(cheater), he was a two- timer, he already has girlfriend (ow) but still he's having an affair with heroine. And our heroine Knows about his girlfriend. But still she involved with hero( have some self- respect woman).

Hero want to break up with his girlfriend (ow). But instead of breaking up with his girlfriend he broke up with heroine, because OW was pregnant. So hero choose OW instead of heroine. And h doesn't know why H choose OW, and she also doesn't know that OW was pregnant with hero's child.

I just can't tolerate any more. I just give up.

DNF @ chapter 8.
I couldn't carry on, I didn't like Landon after a few chapters in. Who even says to an ex after years of being apart that their "lips need to touch right now" and not get laughed at or slapped silly? Come on!...' they were together for 9 months...

My English review

I was intrigued by this synopsis and not knowing the author, I told myself that I had here a good opportunity to discover her writings.

The synopsis perfectly describes the story and we discover here Allie, a young woman whose heart was broken 7 years ago. She was the other woman, and the boy she loved did not finally choose her. Now in a relationship with her best friend for 6 years, life goes on. But here she meets with Landon again, Landon who always seems to love her despite what happened. Allies doubts, she does not know what to do and her life is upset down.

It is true that we know perfectly what will be the themes of the story. But I did not expect the story to be shot this way. As soon as Allie finds Landon, she gets him into her life even if she knows that he wants more. And after what she had gone through, I found it hard to see what she was doing to Brendan. I was uncomfortable and aching when I saw that he was in pain, but he did not want her to choose between them. Even if the situation evolves, it’s true that it was complicated for me, because I did not understand how Allie after suffering from something identical, she replicated the scheme. She does not cheat on Brendan, but parading with Landon in front of him showing that she still has feelings, I find it even worse.

Apart from that and especially because it’s very personal, I had a good time with the story that I found interesting. I was surprised by the turn towards the end I must admit, but it was in any case a good discovery and I will be curious enough to discover another novel.

This was more than just a love triangle.
More than a second chance romance.
It’s about Allie finding herself. Letting go of what she knows isn’t right for her. It’s about love and heartache and pain and truth and happiness and...life.

This story is well-written. It felt so REAL.
Great job by the author for making me feel with my heart...and making me understand... and making me smile.

UGH!

I don't know how to express my feels about this. Sad at the start, pissed in the middle, and the twist between friends I was kind of pissed. I cant say I was happy with what the story became. I guess sometimes in life its reality and plays out as it was meant to be. Heartbreak took over me. Worth reading? Yes.

Allie Vincent thought she was on track to having it all, a special man to share her life with, a career that she loves, and a promising future to look forward to... but then everything in her world comes to a screeching halt when a very special someone unexpectedly wanders back into her life, and beings to make some serious waves! Seeing Landon again was something she didn't anticipate, when he closed the door on them seven years ago she thought that was it, that she'd never see him again. Landon was the love of her life, but she wasn't the only one vying for his heart, and he promised that was going to change, but things came up and changes were made, changes that broke her heart in two. It took her a long time to move on from him, and if she's being honest, there is still a little part of heart that belongs to him, but she has a new man in her life, one that helped her pickup the pieces Landon left behind.

But now both men are present in her life, asking to be her forever, both bringing things to her world she is certain she can't live without, but her heart can only belong to one of them... problem is she doesn't which one to choose!

Why Not Me is a heart-wrenching tale that packs an emotional punch... one that is certain to be felt long after the last page is turned. The moment I settled down with this one, and my eyes began to devour the words I was hooked, it became so addictive that I lost track of time and ended up staying up until the wee hours of the morning just to finish it! These three characters were not only amazingly crafted, but they also had undeniable chemistry that could be felt throughout, and the anticipation of Allie making her final choice, darn near killed me! Two of my favorite tropes are second chance love stories, and love triangles and I felt like I hit the jackpot with this one, (being that it covered both), it was a divine story full of angst, emotion, and passion!! I highly recommend you take a chance on this one, it's highly satisfying!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

When a book starts with a heartbreaking scene where the heroine’s life falls apart, you just can’t help but keep on turning the pages. This standalone second chance romance with a love triangle twist is quite an emotional read.

Allie is a successful career woman and is in a stable relationship with her boyfriend of six years. Her calm existence is rocked when she bumps into her ex-boyfriend Landon. He’s the one who broke her heart many years ago. I must admit my initial impression of Allie was not a favourable one considering that in her first relationship she was the other woman.

Landon was the guy who broke Allie’s heart and he did it in a cowardly way, through a phone call. His actions throughout their early relationship put him in a bad light as he kept on stringing Allie along and when it came to the crunch, he left her hanging with no closure. What really happened during those early days? Is it worth giving him a second chance?

Brandon is Allie’s boyfriend and her rock. He was there for her when she was heartbroken and was the best friend she relied on. He was persistent and dependable, a stand-up guy and the one she can trust not to break her heart.

In love stories that involve cheating, I would normally pile on a lot of hate on the other woman but in this book the author had a way of narrating the story that changes your perception of the main characters. I am glad that the grown up Allie is a much sympathetic persona than her younger self.
This story is fast-paced and well written; told in dual points of view, switching from past to present this romantic tale of betrayal, redemption and self discovery is a delight to read. Allie, Landon and Brandon dealt with the situation, there was some drama involved, but also a lot of dialogue between them that shows maturity and sensitivity. Although this is the first book I have read by the author this won’t be my last.

Timing is everything. Those are the words that come to mind after reading Why Not Me?
We begin with Allie and Landon. They have been together for nine months, and Landon breaks things off with her. He was supposed to break up with his girl friend. How did this happen? What made this happen? Why her and not me? These questions haunt Allie every time she thinks about the past. But seven years later, she is in a relationship with Brendan. Though Allie has been questioning the relationship recently. She knows that she loves Brendan, and that he loves her. They were friends for a while before they started dating, but lately, they have been feeling like friends with benefits. And she is wondering if being together is the right thing to do.

Bam!!
Landon runs into the back of Allie's car, and when they realized who the other is, the feelings of the past hit them hard. However, Allie needs to figure out her life with Brendan, and then she needs to figure out what her life is without anyone else in it. It is all about finding yourself.

A great read. - I received an arc for an honest review.

Why Not Me by Ashley Erin is a story of second chances at love and life. In her story, Erin tells us of a girl who fell in love with a boy. It was a combustive love full of hardships. Timing was never right. But when a car accident results in bringing them back together, Landon and Allie must decide if they can get it right a second time around.

Erin fills this romance full of angst and although it took me a bit to really get into these characters, once I did I was not stopping until the last page. I loved seeing Allie struggle through becoming her own person. I really respect Erin telling a story of not only second chance at love but also at loving oneself and standing on her own two feet.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and would highly recommend it to others.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

This is Allie’s story. After getting her heart broken she is moving on and has all her boxes checked in life. Everything is looking up. That is until the one who broke her heart comes back. He wants her back, but she has moved on right? The old connection is there but is she willing to risk all the great in her life for a second try? He wants a second chance, but will it be worth it for her or will she lose everything in the end? Her second chance and her life that was so great?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I recommend this book.

What a book! I really loved reading it. It was super addictive and the characters were great.
Allie was once in love with Landon before he broke her heart.
Landon always regretted having to lose out with Allie. But the timing wasn’t right. I will leave that for you to read about.
There is a lot of intense parts to this book. But it is also hot and addictive. I really loved the characters and the story that goes with them. It’s got a great pace to it. Making it hard to put down. I really hope there will be more on the secondary characters.

Why Not Me? is a story of love, of friendship, of passion. The story centers on allie. One man has been there for her when it mattered and he is safe. The other sets her heart afire but also shattered it. Ashley Erin does a great job taking us through Allie's journey and how she lives with the consequences of her ultimate decision.

Ashley Erin creates the perfect balance between a love triangle and second chance. With a different approach, I was captivated by the story and intrigued to see how Allie’s story played out. Erin weaved a story that had me cheering for our heroine and breaking for her. I could feel her pain, guilt, confusion. Honest and real, this is much more than a love triangle. It is a book about life, struggles, and friendship. With a twist I wasn’t expecting, the story took on a depth that added to the reality of it. I highly recommend this book. It will surprise you.

Things in life can get turned upside down when we least expect them. Allie had choices to make and she took us on that ride. This story has you wondering what will happen at each turn.
So well written that you are always engaged in the story. From start to finish I truly enjoyed each page and was sad when it was finished.
I recommend this book to read now or later and you won’t be disappointed.

This was written with realistic characters. Both Landon and Allie's love reminded me of my first love; No matter where life takes you, you never can get rid of the feelings you felt for your first love. Their connection drew me in. I rooted for both characters although Allie was with someone else and I admire her strength to do things slowly and right. That takes courage and hard work.
I enjoyed this read so much I finished it rather quickly. It's been awhile since I've been able to do that.
Well done Ashley.

WHY NOT ME is a story that I didn't think I would like because of the love triangle aspect of it. This was written in a unique way that the situation with the characters makes sense.

This is one of stories that packs a lot of emotion between two covers.

The characters are well developed. The story has a natural flow and I would absolutely read this author again.

Why Not Me? Is a contemporary romance novel by Ashley Erin. It is the story of a young woman named Allie who has been seeing a young man named Landon Taylor for about 9 months. The problem is that Landon has been dating another woman named Melissa while seeing Allie, and he's promised Allie that he was going to break up with Melissa for the last nine months. On the evening that Landon has promised Allie that this is the night that he intends to break up with Melissa, Allie gets a phone call from Landon telling her that he can't see her anymore. Allie can't believe her ears; she's confused and in shock. When Allie started seeing Landon she so believed him when he said that he would break up with Melissa that she allowed herself to become the other woman, which was something that she swore to herself that she would never do. Allie responds to Landon by saying, “I see then. I guess there's nothing to say then.” Then Landon says, “Good-bye Allie --- I'm sorry.”

The next thing that we know is that it's now seven years later. Allie is now 27 years old and lives with her boyfriend, Brendan. It's winter, it's snowing, and Allie is leaving her office at the end of an exhausting week and she's finally on her way home. She has sent Brendan a quick text to let him know that she's on her way home, and he's sent her a text telling her to be careful driving in the snow. It's October 25th, seven years since the day that Landon broke up with Allie, and she still feels a hole in her heart concerning the break up; the sadness has never gone away. Allie met Brendan in college, and they have lived in their condo together for two years. Brendan is always there for Allie; he's her best friend. But Allie feels that something just isn't right concerning their relationship, and she's felt this way for over a year. She loves Brendan and would never want to hurt him, but if everything was right with their relationship then why does she still feel so sad on this day, October 25th?

One afternoon after Allie finishes her day of Christmas shopping with her good friends, Dawn and Blake, she leaves to drive home on the slippery, snowy roads. Suddenly Allie's car is rear-ended, causing her head to slam into the steering wheel. When the driver, who is extremely concerned about Allie's welfare, gets to her car to see if she's okay, Allie manages to get out of her car and stand up. Allie can't believe her eyes! Standing in front of her is Landon! Even though Allie hasn't seen or heard from Landon in such a long time she still feels her body reacting to him. Landon wants Allie to get checked out by a doctor, but Allie refuses. Landon is now a Physical Therapist and he manages to talk Allie into coming to his office so that he can evaluate her injuries and do therapy as needed the next day. What will happen next? Is Landon still with Melissa?

I really enjoyed this second chance romance novel by Ashley Erin. I was definitely on an emotional roller coaster ride that began in the first chapter of the book, and then didn't stabilize until the very end of the book. Her characters are strong and interesting, and the storyline is realistic. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great romance novel.

“It’s been an interesting journey as we navigate our relationship in a way we never had a chance to before.”

Well this was quite the introduction to a new author. I had a suspect as to what I was getting into with the synopsis but what I got was a completely different story all together. I had no idea what was going to come from this and I ended up loving it by the end of the book. There were a few moments where I was angry with the way things were turning, but this is REAL life. Things don’t come out clean and easy ever, and this book definitely sticks to that. This isn’t your prettily packaged romance that you are used to. This is raw and uncut, and you will find yourself loving every moment of it by the end.

Allie never imagined this was what her life would turn out to be. When Landon told her goodbye years ago she was devastated but managed to move on. She is successful in her career, has a man that she loves and consider her best friend, and the promise of more great days to come. All of this comes to a ‘crashing’ 360 in the course of one afternoon.

“I can’t see you anymore, Allie.” His words are cold and detached, almost as though he’s talking to a stranger, so different from this morning.

I slump against the rough edge of the tabletop, its sharp corner digging into my spine as I stare mindlessly as the snow slowly builds up on the ground, its beauty now tainted with the quest breaking my heart.

“My predictable life has managed to change directions so abruptly that I feel like everything is about to be overturned.”

Landon never thought he would get a second chance at Allie. He was sure that his life was a pattern he would play on repeat forever, until he literally runs into Allie one afternoon.

“Shut up. I rear-ended her today, she’s coming in tomorrow so I can check out the damage. Seeing her brought back a lot of memories, and now I have my chance to make things right, to fix my mistake.”

“Like my soul recognized its missing piece.”

What unfolds after this afternoon is a story of self-discovery, forgiveness, second chances, and so much more. It will be one you have to chug through the difficult parts to get to that good and happy ending you hope is coming. You will not be disappointed that you have taken the time to read the story of Allie and Landon. I can’t wait to find out what else is out there from Ashley Erin.

“He always needs more time, but when he tilts my head back and brushes his lips across mine, I let it slide. I know they’ve been through a lot together, I just hate this place we’re stuck in. It was never meant to go so far.”

Why Not Me?
By: Ashley Erin
5 out of 5 stars

The story Why Not Me? By Ashley Erin is a wonderful romance story that I loved reading. It is a book about a woman who begins to analyze her life after someone from her past comes back into her life. Allie Vincent is a woman that some would say has it all. A job she loves, a boyfriend that adores her, and wonderful best friends. While she has memories of the one that left her years ago they become more intense when they run into each other. Allie can’t seem to stop thinking about him and even agrees that they can be friends. She, however, finds herself feeling guilty, having emotional conflicts and also doubts. Her thoughts and emotions can be quite overwhelming. He has always regretted saying goodbye to Allie. That one action has haunted him and he has always wished for a second chance with her. These two have an intense attraction/chemistry when together. The connection between them is still strong after all the time that has passed. Will he get a second chance to show her how much he loves her? Will Allie give him that chance? This is a story that had my emotions going up and down. I could feel the conflict that Allie was going through and how the decisions that she is having to make weight heavily upon her. She shows herself to be a strong person. There are other times when I could feel the happiness that Allie has and I always wanted her to stay happy. This is a well-developed story that has many wonderful characters. Once I started I didn’t want to put the book down until I had read the final page. It’s a book I would highly recommend reading.

Why Not Me? by Ashley Erin is a romance story about second chances and falling in love again like it was the first time. Following the story of Allie and Landon, she believes her life is going exactly according to plan. Perfect job, perfect boyfriend, perfect home, great friends. Everything is going along exactly according to plan until in one day it isn’t anymore. Allie isn’t ready for her life to veer completely off course until it does and leaves her in the dust. That was seven years ago, and still the sting is there. When Allie sees Landon again, all her memories come flooding back. When Landon wants to have Allie back, a second chance, she can’t seem to find it in her to tell him no. Landon has always regretted ending his relationship with Allie. That one decision on his part has always haunted him, and he has worked so hard to get up the nerve to ask for a second chance with her. The attraction is still strong between these two, something that neither of them can deny. But will their passion fizzle out or will it lead to something more? All Allie needs to do is give this a chance, but can she trust that this is real this time? This story is definite rollercoaster. Erin is a new to me author, but I am so happy that I picked this one up. If you are looking for an author that can weave a tale that will pull you in and take you along for a wonderful journey with her characters than this is one that you need to watch out for. I can’t wait to see what else Erin brings to her readers in the future!

Why Not Me? By Ashley Erin was a great 5 Star read for me. I was hooked from chapter 1. The book was completely relatable to so many people. I loved all characters and they all played an Important role in the book.

Allie and Landon had such a connection to eachother that they couldn't fight it. Landon was 19 and she was 20. However, Landon was dating someone already when they hooked up. That hookup lasted 9 months. 9 long months of sneaking around worried Melissa would find out. When Landon says he's going to end things with Melissa, they think, they will live happily ever after. That night everyone's life changed and Landon ended up breaking up with Allie instead.

Allie was heartbroken for quite a while. Then Brendan started doing really nice things for her and eventually they started dating. Fast forward seven years and Landon runs into Allie on the road...literally! Allie has not gotten over Landon and he always knew she was the one who got away! What will happen now 7 years later where Allie and Brendan are living together in a condo they own? Will Allie forgive Landon and leave her boyfriend / best friend and give it a second chance with Landon? This book was great from beginning to end. I think everyone at some point either broke someone's heart as a teenager or had their heartbroken and like Allie and Landon, they never really got over it. They still think back on those days.

This book had some happy times and sad times but, total worth the time to read.

Why Not Me is the first book I have read by Ashley Erin. I was intrigued by the synopsis and decided to take a chance on the story and the writer and I am happy I did. It is a beautifully crafted story of second chances (and love triangle).
Why Not Me is the story of Allie, Landon and Brandon. The story begins with Allie’s heart being broken and her life shattered by Landon and now, after seven years, when Allie has found stability and has a neat life with Brandon … she gets caught up between her past and her present … The reality is though that she has never forgotten Landon and yes, he still makes her heart race and … Allie needs to find her true self, find out what she really wants, will she choose safety and comfort or will she take a risk and forgive and experience what her relationship with Landon could have become …
I loved how the story was told from different points of views; it added a layer and depth to what the characters were going through and helped us to understand more their struggles. Also, there were couple of other great characters that added to the story so in the end you really felt as if you were part of their journey and you simply had to keep your fingers crossed for the best outcome possible!
I am pretty sure that this will not be the only book I will ever read by Ashley Erin!

Why Not Me? by Ashley Erin
Why Not Me? by Ashley Erin is a wonderful second chance romance. Even more than that, it has a love triangle going on to.
Allie Vincent is happy with her life. She has a great job and a fantastic boyfriend who she’s been with for six years. There’s just one thing holding her back. Seven years ago Allie was ‘the other woman’ in her relationship with Landon. She was gutted when he chose to stay with his girlfriend, instead of leaving her to be with Allie.
Now 7 years on and Landon comes back into Allie’s life and turns her happy life upside down. Although she loves her boyfriend, she’s never got over Landon. She’s always wondered why Landon broke it off with her suddenly and chose to stay with his girlfriend.
This book had me gripped from start to finish. A definite page turner. It was filled with so much angst. Allie had a great life but was torn by the feelings that she had for Landon. The connection between them was so strong. Could she give up what she had in order to have a second chance with Landon? The author did a fantastic job of describing the torment that Allie went through.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I certainly will read more from them in the future. If you like reading an angsty romance then this is the book for you.

Why Not Me? by Ashley Erin is a romance story that I enjoyed. It has some steamy parts, but for the most part isnt overly graphic scenes, but more feelings of love, loss and seconds chances. The book begins with Allie as she is in love, and happy in her relationship, until it abruptly ends one night without warning. She is crushed and it takes her a long time to accept, get over it and move on. She spends the better part of the next 10 years wondering why, and despite being in a long term relationship, finds herself thinking back to her ex more than she should. She feels guilty, but cant shake the feelings and memories. Then, in a freak accident, her ex, Landon, comes back into her life, and they both soon realize there are lingering feelings on both sides. It seems fate brought them back together for some reason, and they are both viewing this as a second chance, and try to remain friends. Allie is left with one of the hardest decisions of her life. Does she stay with her boyfriend, who is her best friend, amazing, supportive and caring. Or does she give that all up to try to rekindle her relationship with Landon, who broke her heart? It seems like an easy decision, but love can be a confusing thing.
