Prior to bringing Lyra Belacqua to life in the BBC's television adaptation of His Dark Materials, Dafne Keen shared the big screen with Hugh Jackman in 2017's Logan. She played the character of Laura, who turns out to be the female clone of Logan, X-23.

Considering how Logan ended, it appeared as though there could have been a potential sequel story explored through Keen's character. It's an idea that Keen admits still intrigues her, and one she confirmed was apparently in some stage of development and consideration at one point in time: "I got told by some people at Fox that there might be another one," Keen informed Elle, "but this was ages ago when we were filming, and they haven't contacted me ever again."

"I feel like we're just at the beginning, there's more to be told, and it's a relay race," she added. "I come into play when they've already written and done pre-production and decided on doing the film, so as soon as they say, 'go,' I'll happily go whenever."

Drawing inspiration from Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's "Old Man Logan" comic book arc, the movie told the bleak story of a grizzled, aged version of Wolverine and a seriously frail and ill Charles Xavier as they attempt to defend Laura from the Reavers that are chasing her.

Directed by James Mangold, Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Richard E. Grant and Elizabeth Rodriguez.
