A business is nothing without the people that hold it together, and at LinkNow Media, we have a lot of glue! It’s always fun to get insight into what someone’s day at work might be like, especially when they are doing a different job than you. So, we put the word out and received some great responses!
The Work Day
In a creative position it is important what you listen to throughout the day. Music has been scientifically proven to spark inspiration as well as increase your focus. Music can affect the entire tone of your work, and make it more fun.
Jenna’s morning ritual consists of listening to Led Zeppelin and Big Wreck, grabbing coffee, and heading to work.
Once she arrives, she heads to her workspace which is very well organized! Everything has its place, and anyone who dares to move anything should beware.
Throughout the day, Jenna checks all the websites before they go live to make sure that necessary changes and material are integrated properly. She also manages calls when other Design Assistants are out of the office, and helps Adina with additional tasks.
The Support System
Keeping up the pace throughout the day helps Jenna’s job go a lot more smoothly. What can ruin her day is if she has to send work back to the designer because something is missing.
Luckily, she loves her job. The people she works with are honest and the design team has a great atmosphere. Jenna’s coworkers keep her grounded, and have a wicked sense of humor.
LinkNow Media’s design department may be in a separate room from the rest of the staff but that doesn’t mean they’re not a part of LinkNow’s workplace community. While they have their own unique atmosphere, their driven and positive attitudes truly make them an important part of the LNM Family.
Jenna’s three keys for success in the Design Department:
- Coffee (lots of coffee)
- An eye for detail
- A calm attitude. Don’t freak out. Mistakes happen, don’t let them get to you!
