Earlier this week, MedTreks International members living in southern Oregon came together to raise money for medical supplies and education for healthcare providers in Kenya.

MedTreks held the fundraiser at South Stage Cellars to support Village HopeCore's 18 year mission of helping provide healthcare to people in Kenya.

Director of Nursing Program Ari Rosari, who is also a nurse practitioner at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, led the fundraising effort which brought in more than $3500 for Village HopeCore.

"We bring nurses, doctors, EMTs, physician assistants, nurse practitioners from the U.S. and we go over twice a year to Kenya to offer medical training and health education to our healthcare providers," Rosari said.

Rosari has been making trips to Kenya for years through Village HopeCore.
