Win a $300 Big W Gift Card

Brought to you by Eveready. If toys could talk, can you imagine what they’d say?

As I write this blog post, Lulu is sitting at her little table in front of me entertaining her little toys over a tea party. She is the most toy-obsessed kid I’ve ever encountered. Each toy has a name, and a little personality and she will remember all the details, and recall them to you too. Her toys are her world.

If her toys could talk, I’m sure they’d say, “thank you for loving us!”. {Or they might say, “Clean your room! Your mum has asked you a thousand times already!”}.

Hubby has had this thing, ever since before we’ve had kids, that we always have to have a stash of batteries above the fridge. I never really understood it, but we could have no bread or milk, but we’d ALWAYS have batteries. And not cheap batteries either, they have to be good quality batteries.

I’m teaming up with Eveready batteries to bring you a really, really cool giveaway, and to share a tip about why it’s important to choose quality when it comes to batteries. Because there’s no fun in losing a good toy because of a cheap, leaking battery. Been there done that, and lost a good computer game in the process as a kid. ????

Toys that need batteries tend to be the more expensive toys, and usually sit around the $35 to $600 mark… so it would be devastating to have that toy live only a short life because of poor battery choice, especially when you’ve paid a pretty penny for the toy in the first place. Eveready batteries are dependable, quality and love your toys as much as you do, and they have a quality seal with Leak Resistance Guaranteed* to help your child’s toy stays ‘fit and healthy’ for as long as possible.

* Based on IEC Standard Service tests. EVEREADY® Super Heavy Duty AA/AAA/C/D.

To celebrate all things fun, I have an Eveready battery pack and a $300 Big W gift card to giveaway so that you can go crazy on a toy shopping spree. The fun is on me!

Want to win? All you have to do is tell me something fun you’ve done lately. Pop your comment below, and I’ll pick the most creative answer to win and go shopping! It’s as easy as that!

Terms and condition: One entry per person. Open to Australian residents only. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in this competition. Competition closes May 25th 2018, at 11:59pm. Good luck!

  1. Recently I booked a holiday and I always find that part fun – the possibilities, the anticipation…..I cant get enough of it.

  2. Both my boys had there birthdays this month , a day apart! we had planned on a trip to Healseville sanctuary with some family but the weather had other ideas, so I had 2 days to plan a double rainy day birthday party for them and bake 2 cakes! A picked up a indoor bouncy castle from Big W and decorated the house in a range of rainbow colours for circus kind of look, I found a great idea for a party game online, The human pinata! and hot glued choccies and lollies to a big old t-shirt for my husband to wear while the kids attacked him grabbing lollies! my most least planned party and the best one yet!

  3. We hit the bush near Margaret River and camped. The children loved the freedom, riding their bikes and of course needed lots of batteries using their torches at night in search of possums!

  4. I spent the day with the most hansom under two year old boy ever. I babysit for a lovely family who trusted me to have there youngest son for the day. I have no had so much fun for a long time. I will not have the pleasure of ever being a Grandma but the joy this young boy gave me is more than I can ask for. I feel blessed to be a part of this family

  5. I took the kids to the park to collect autumn leaves which we took home and painted pictures on. Was fun, even though messy paints is not normally my idea of a fun time!!!

  6. We attended the ANZAC day services yesterday, also the anniversary of my father’s death. Obviously not a typical fun day, but a day spent together talking, laughing, remembering. We claimed the impressive military helicopter fly over as our own. A salute to our own fallen ANZAC. Fun comes in many packages.

  7. We bought a cheap dome lens for our GoPro before we went on holidays and have discovered how awesome taking photos half underwater half above the water are! You get the nice scenery around the pools edge, then you get the kids doing some crazy underwater pose, all in the one shot! So much fun 😀

  8. We went to pick up the daughter and three week old who contracted some awful virus after he was born, and take them home. It was a dady of joy because he was given the all clear. His big brother, two, was over the moon to have his new bubba and his mummy home again. He made her a tea party. Weetbix bites and water on his play teaset. It was the most fun tea party ever.

  9. I had some friends over for a Crafternoon. We all did different crafty things like sewing, crochet, embroidery and scrapbooking, while we drank lots of tea and ate way to much chocolate.

  10. Spent a sunny day at Luna Park – went crazy on all the rides, ate fairy floss, and laughed until we cried.

  11. We just built our very own cubby house. We have worked on it as a family over the last few weekends using recycled wood. Everyone has had a job, we have sawn wood, used a drill, hammered nails and painted. My kids have loved designing something, planning and building it. We have made lots of mistakes and learnt loads and laughed along the way, and we now have a very rustic, very cute ,homemade and well loved cubby. Today we used it as a flower shop, tomorrow who knows…

  12. This week my little monkey (Mr. 1 & 1/2) and I built an obstacle course inside on a rainy day, Featuring a giant plush caterpillar balancing beam, couch cushion stepping stones, a change mat “Summysult” spot, building block pillars to navigate around a cubby house/crawl tunnel beneath the couches and a pillow mountain to scale. We dragged all of his stuffed toys to sit on the lounge and “cheer.” My loungeroom looked like a bomb site but my lil man spent hours running, balancing, climbing, playing and most importantly laughing his cheeky little head off.
