Hi Everyone,
For those who don't know me, my name is Lori Da Cunha and I am the Executive Director of Silverheights Neighbourhood Association. As I sit here and write to you today, I hope you are safe and doing well during this time. COVID has had a huge impact on all of our lives. For a lot of us, it has changed the way we do everyday tasks. We have all had to learn new routines, adjust to new protocols and for many of us learn how to work with technology. This has played true with Silverheights Neighbourhood Association. We have learned how to engage, connect and provide activities and programs virtually during this time, don't get me wrong, it has not been easy, we have have our fair share of internet issues and technical difficulties, but the support we have received from you has been overwhelming and so very appreciated. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we learn through these times. I also wanted to update you on the centre. At this time the centre is stilled closed to the public and in person programs are still cancelled. We are hoping in the new year we will be able to open for a few in person programs, but will have to see how this second wave plays out. Until then we are still offering our virtual programs, and events and CJ and Sabrina are still hard at work finding new and fun ways to connect with you. I know as the holidays approach this can become a hard time for some especially this year with social distancing, so please if you know of anyone needing assistance, send them our way and we can do our best to connect them with the services they may need. We miss you all so much!
Thank you for your continued support, we truly are blessed to be part of such a great community.
Sincerely,
Lori
