Low-slope roofs are often referred to as flat roofs. At Pierce Lee Roofing, we specialize in several kinds of low-slope roofing, including EPDM, TPO, BUR, PVC and Green Roofing.
TPO
Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO) is strong single-ply roofing that can be fully-adhered, mechanically-attached or ballasted. It is a popular choice for “green” roofing projects.
EPDM
Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer (EPDM), also known as rubber roofing, is a durable synthetic rubber roofing membrane typically used in low-slope roofing. EPDM is available in black or white and is sold in a variety of widths, including 45 mils, 60 mils and 90 mils. This roofing system can be installed as fully-adhered, mechanically-attached or ballasted.
PVC
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) membrane roofing is also known as vinyl roofing. Pierce Lee's low-slope roofing PVC systems feature a plastic membrane. PVC system seams are heat-welded and should not come in contact with any asphaltic products.
BUR
Built-Up Roofing (BUR) systems, also known as a tar and gravel or a flat roof, are composed of alternating layers of bitumen and reinforcing fabrics that create a finished membrane. Surfacing for built-up roofing systems include aggregate (such as gravel, slag or mineral granules), glass-fiber or mineral surfaced cap sheets, hot asphalt mopped over the entire surface, aluminum coatings or elastomeric coatings.
Green Roofing
A green roof or living roof is partially covered with vegetation that is planted over a waterproofing membrane. Green roofs have the potential to increase real estate value of a home or building and are great for the environment.
