Charli XCX teamed up with Carly Rae Jepson during a guest-heavy ‘Pop 2’ show in LA. Check out the performances below.
The ‘Boys’ star showcased material from her collaborative mixtape on Thursday night (March 15), and invited along her pop pals to help bring the project to life.
Guests included Carly Rae Jepson, Tove Lo, Chairlift‘s Caroline Polachek and Dorian Electra.
Bringing the show to a close, XCX invited Jepson to the stage. As well as performing ‘Backseat’ – the lead single from ‘Pop 2’ – the pair surprised the crowd with a take on Jepson’s life-affirming banger ‘Cut To The Feeling’.

The singer is set to do the whole thing again tomorrow (March 18), with another show scheduled for New York.
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that Charli XCX will perform in the UK this June as a support act on Taylor Swift’s ‘reputation’ tour. Camila Cabello will also appear on the dates.
Off the back of winning ‘Best Track’ for ‘Boys’ at the VO5 NME Awards 2018, Charli promised to be the ‘bad influence’ at the upcoming shows.
Earlier this month, Charli XCX shared a playlist to celebrate Women’s History Month. It featured women she has “worked with, written with, collaborated with, and is inspired by” – with the likes of Dua Lipa, Sigrid, Cardi B, Sophie, MØ and more being included.
