GDPR in our workplace

Purdicom’s Journey Towards GDPR Compliancy

In light of the forthcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Shane Reed, Information Security Officer at Purdicom, has now completed training as both a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).

Shane’s first step to ensure Purdicom’s GDPR compliancy was to roll out the Sytorus privacy engine across the company. Purdicom is taking privacy seriously, and not only due to the looming laws surrounding GDPR and e-privacy. At the heart of our company is the customer’s wellbeing, and so Purdicom make it our mission to protect our customers’ data by incorporating privacy by default and design.

Purdicom have also completed data privacy data impact assessments on all third party partnerships including updating our websites’ privacy policies and terms and conditions. Shane has also organised GDPR training for all employees to get the entire company up to speed, and guarantee GDPR compliancy by 25th May 2018, and well into the future.

In 2-3 years GDPR will be business as usual. Purdicom have always aimed to exceed customer expectations, and will continue to do so from now until long into the future.
