There's been a lot of love for Black Panther. Not only is the film being showered with so many great reviews, it's also been earning a lot from both the domestic and international box office, allowing the film to have one of the highest opening weekends for a superhero movie.
Of course, Black Panther owes its success to the many elements that make the movie a powerful film, from the world building to the strength of the performances of the film's cast, especially Michael B. Jordan, the actor who plays Killmonger.
Despite the success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans know that Marvel has a problem building strong villains. But not this time. Killmonger had a strong backstory and a strong motivation, and many believe that the villain was one of the biggest factors that make Black Panther a great film. According to many, Killmonger's the MCU's greatest villain of all time.
Not only do fans find the intellect of T'Challa's long-lost cousin appealing, but they also love his depth, cunning, and his physical prowess. In the film, Killmonger comes so close to killing T'Challa in the sacred fighting grounds, throwing the King of Wakanda off the cliff and taking the crown.
Though it's such a shame that we won't be able to see Killmonger in future Marvel movies, we hope that the studio continues producing strong villains for its movies.
