CRAVEN Museum will be dropping in on Settle and Ingleton libraries over the Easter holidays.

While the museum itself in Skipton Town Hall is closed until early next year for its National Heritage Lottery Funded redevelopment, the museum team is going out on the road.

Two special roadshows, featuring a 100 year old Teddy Bear, will take place at Settle Library on Tuesday, April 23, and at Ingleton Library on Wednesday, April 24.

Staff will be taking along a selection of objects from the museum's collection, and there will also be information about the museum's grand redevelopment.

They are also inviting people to bring along their own objects - whether its a fossil found on a beach, an heirloom handed down through the generations, photos, letters, maps or pieces of pottery. The objects could then be included in a digital museum celebrating the rich heritage of Craven.

Following the first roadshow event, at Embsay Library in February, several objects were added to the new online People's Museum.

Both events in Settle and Ingleton will take place from 2pm to 4.30pm. To see the online museum, go to:storiesandtreasures.wordpress.com/peoples-museum/
