John Krasinski would "love" to play Mister Fantastic in a potential Fantastic Four reboot. The actor-director revealed as much in a recent interview for A Quiet Place, which he both stars in and directed.

During the interview, Krasinksi was asked about potentially starring in a Marvel Cinematic Universe Fantastic Four reboot with Blunt, playing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, respectively.

"Oh yeah, the Fantastic Four. I would love that! I mean listen, I’m still getting into the whole superhero thing. I didn’t read comics as a kid, not as many, I read some but not as much, but I’m a huge superhero fan so yeah, I’d love to do something like that," Krasinksi told ScreenRant. "If they’re are any left, a lot of these have been taken but the ones that are left, yeah, I would love to do something like that. And listen, I’d love to work with her again so any chance I got would be great."

Krasinski and Blunt have been part of plenty of fan wish lists and casting speculation since it was announced that Disney was set to purchase assets from 20th Century Fox, including rights to the X-Men, Deadpool and Fantastic Four film properties.

At some point during planning for Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Krasinski was lined up to play Captain America before Chris Evans was cast in the role. Blunt was also in the running for the Black Widow role but dropped it due to scheduling conflicts. The role eventually went to Scarlett Johansson.

Whoever ends up cast as a future Reed and Sue Richards, it would surely help to have chemistry as part of the equation. But for now, rumors and fan art will have to do.
