Trips For Single Parents

904

A great way for single parents to build a relationship with their children is to travel together. It allows for them to make memories and to get to spend a lot of one on one time together. There are some challenges that come with traveling by yourself with children and not having another adult to help. This isn’t a reason to forego traveling however, as there are some trips that allow partner-less parents to enjoy themselves and not feel overwhelmed because they don’t have an extra set of hands to help take care of their little one’s needs.

Camping
This type of trip has a lot of benefits. First, it’s cost efficient so even for those single parents that don’t have a lot of money, they can usually still find an affordable place to camp. Also, you really don’t have to seek out options for entertainment. Sleeping under the stars and eating picnic style is often enough to keep children happy. Dependent on where you go you may be able to fish, swim, bike or hike. Don’t feel inundated by the thought of how much stuff you might need. Try to pack just the bare essentials and don’t overdo it! As long as you have a tent, clothes and food it should be more than enough.

Cruises
For those looking for an option that’s all inclusive, a cruise is the way to go. Everything from meals to entertainment is included. You don’t have to worry about feeling awkward traveling as a single parent because their will be plenty of other singles on board the cruise ship as well. On some cruise ships like Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, they offer special lunches where single adults can be β€œpaired up” with another adult. Right now people are even searching for disney cruises 2019, its always good to plan ahead! This allows them to meet someone new and help each other out if needed. Another great thing about going on a cruise is that there usually is some sort of childcare on board. So if you need a break for just a little bit you can put your child in one of the β€œkid’s clubs” and enjoy some β€œme” time. You can check the royal caribbean cruise schedule to start picking a date. Try out free cruise tracker and track whether a price goes up or down and get a cruise price alert so you can say money!

Large, But Small Cities
Traveling with just your kids can be very overwhelming. You don’t want to go to a town that’s too small and doesn’t have anything to do, but you also don’t want to deal with a large town where it’s difficult trying to navigate everything. Cities like St. Petersburg in Florida are great for single parents. There’s a lot to do, but in a more manageable way. For instance Fort De Soto Park has clear water and a sandbar that allows for a shallow place for your little ones to splash about and have fun without getting knocked over by a bunch of waves. If you want to take your travel oversees of course there are many companies such as tauck tours that offer a line of vacations with families in mind. Each itinerary is crafted with special excursions that you normally would not do. Many companies as well as trafalgar tours and globus travel have quite a selection of tours that travel during the summer to accommodation a families schedule.
